En Marqués de Vargas, el invierno 2016-2017 fue particularmente seco. El desborre de la vid fue temprano como consecuencia de las altas condiciones térmicas del final del invierno. Una primavera estival con ausencia de lluvias en el mes de abril y temperaturas muy altas en los meses de mayo y junio acentuaron la precocidad de esta cosecha. Muy buenas condiciones climatológicas y fisiológicas de floración y cuajado, correcto equilibrio vegetativo y sanitario de todo el viñedo que fue tratado en su conjunto enecológico. Desarrollo del envero muy homogéneo y precoz para todas las variedades.
