The vineyards are in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, high altitude and around Elvillar de Alava at between 560 and 700 meters, protected to the North by the Sierra Cantabria and delimited to the South by the Ebro river. Limestone clay soils that contribute, together with a good humidity level and sufficient annual sunlight, to great wines.
100% Tempranillo. Following a pre-fermentation maceration to ensure maximum extraction of colour and aromas, the must is fermented in stainless steel deposits for 8 days at 26º C.
The wine is aged for 6 months in American oak barrels.

Nose: Nicely floral with red/black berry fruit (bing cherry), hints of graphite and a touch of dried herbs/grass.
Palate: Flavours of fresh fruit, with a touch of dry grass/hay and well defined, elegant tannins on the finish.
Food matches: Recommended with rice dishes, meats and most types of traditional Spanish tapas.
