marked continental climate, low rainfall, average altitude of about 700 meters, calcareous soils of characteristic brown colour and the absolute rule of the local variety, Tinta de Toro: these are the traits that determine this wine growing region of around 6000 hectares of vineyard, which was declared an appellation in 1987.
Our winemaking facility
in the area, Finca Sobreño, is one of the leading firms in the Toro Appellation. It has some of the best vineyards, including the famed Pago del Oro, from which flagship wines, noted for their structure and bright character, are genuine representatives of this terroir.
