The Atlantic climate, a key element
The influence of the ocean is decisive for the vineyards of Rías Baixas, with its myriad of small properties that dot the entire coastal strip of the province of Pontevedra. The low altitude, the influence of the sea and rivers together with granite soils give rise to much more fruity wines and, in general, are cooler than others.
